Sending Our Well Wishes

We at HSG want to send our well wishes to everyone around the world dealing with COVID-19. Stay safe and help each other get through this. Because we will. And there will be lots of work to do on the other side.

Three tips to get through COVID-19

1. Stay Calm

2. Be Nice

3. Check in

The simple things are as usual the important things right now. This short story from TNH helps remind us how important #1 is.

Thich Nhat Hanh: “When the crowded Vietnamese refugee boats met with storms or pirates, if everyone panicked all would be lost. But if even one person on the boat remained calm and centered, it was enough. It showed the way for everyone to survive.”

Be well out there,

Why I Chose HSG Campaigns

"HSG Campaigns provided UTLA with a detailed plan to win and the energy to meet multiple deadlines. They worked with us to produce high-quality direct mail and walk pieces that were creative and visually impactful. In addition, they offered the right advice and campaign support to help win our race in a landslide. I trust HSG for future campaigns and we highly recommend them to others."

What We're Watching

This month Eric is recommending the series "Devs" available on Hulu.

From the Ex Machina director, Alex Garland, this is an engrossing and thought provoking series set in the near future. Exploring quantum computing, loss and privacy this show has immediately grabbed my attention. A strong recommendation for steaming during these COVID-19 days.

This month Mike is recommending the series "The Crown" available on Netflix.

The Crown is an award-winning historical drama series from Netflix on the reign and family of Queen Elizabeth II. Far from being a typical family drama, it also focuses on the political events and social changes of the United Kingdom. A recurrent theme is the constant conflict between preserving traditions and the royals' need to adapt to a changing world.

This month Matt is recommending the series "Servant" available on Apple TV.

Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan lays out an interesting story of a husband and wife who lose their 13 week-old son that has left the wife in catatonic state, and the only thing that seems to help her is a reborn doll. The couple also hires a nanny to help with the doll and around the house, but the husband begins to notice that the religiously devoted nanny has some very odd behavior to her. This series portrays a story that reflects undertones of a psychological thriller that keeps you engaged and offers glimpses of a possible twist as M. Night Shyamalan usually provides.
